The Franklin County PA Fair is held in early July, in Chambersburg, and features livestock showings, the crowning of the Fair Queen, tractor pulling, demolition derby, a flea market, craft market, and fair food and fair rides. The Shippensburg Community Fair is in later July, and features much the same, with more stage entertainment.

The Capitol Theatre of Chambersburg is a historic theater dating to the 1920s and today is a center for live entertainment, especially dramas.

Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet is an internationally and nationally recognized classical ballet school and puts on various performances throughout the year for the local community.

The Shippensburg Corn Festival is a one-day street fair full of arts and crafts, live entertainment, food, antiques, and of course, a corn eating contest! The streets downtown are closed off to make room for plenty of visitors and fun, family activities.
